Loss Control: technical supervision and quality assurance at every stage of the operation

In hydrocarbon transfer operations, the Loss Control service enables the timely detection, identification, assessment, and correction of factors that may affect the accuracy of quantity or quality determination of the product during the process.

At BZ Consulting, our participation covers (unloading of imported products):

Prior to the operation

Review of documentary background of the port of origin, operational coordination, participation in the Key Meeting, and verification of the operational conditions of the measurement and sampling instruments to be used.

During the operation

Supervision of liquid level, temperature, and free water measurements, along with the recording of relevant events that may impact results.

Sampling and quality

Special attention to on-board sampling, its representativeness and traceability, plus witnessing of laboratory analyses when applicable.

Upon completion

Supervision of final measurements and calculations, determination of transferred quantities, and analysis of differences between vessel, terminal, and Surveyor figures. Detailed report of the entire operation.
